SAN JOSE (March 27, 2006) – Past
and present Olympians including several Bay Area participants
in the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics will be honored Tuesday,
April 11 at Olympic Night at the San Francisco Giants.
Baseball
and Olympic fans may attend that day’s
game in AT&T Park between the Giants and Houston
Astros, at which the Olympic athletes will sign autographs
and participate in pre-game ceremonies, by ordering
tickets sponsored by the Bay Area Sports Organizing
Committee (BASOC). Fan ticket packages are available
at www.sfgiants.com/specialevents or at (415) 947-2749
and include reserved seats in the Olympic Night section
and a one-of-a-kind commemorative baseball cap.
Proceeds
from Olympic Night at the San Francisco Giants benefit
Olympic and Paralympic youth sports programs
in the Bay Area. BASOC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit
organization.
The San Jose Sports Authority is
the sports marketing agency for the City of San José. Since

events to the city as well as supporting programs that
