25th ANNUAL SAN JOSE SPORTS HALL OF FAME!

Three Days Out! We are in the final stretch before we get together to celebrate the exceptional Class of 2019 at the 25th annual San Jose Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner.

With only hours to go before the big day, we are writing to share a few key details:

If you would like to be among the 600+ guests attending this year’s event, please act quickly, as we have only about two dozen tickets remaining. To purchase single tickets, please send an email asap to SJSportsHallofFame@gmail.com and write “SJSHOF 2019 Tickets” in the subject line.

If you or your company would like to purchase a table of ten – perhaps as a special "Job Well Done" for a group of deserving, sports-minded employees? -- please contact our Event Director, Carrie Benjamin, at carrie@sjsa.org to make arrangements.

If you have already purchased a table (or more), please submit your guest names to us today ! If you’ve attended this event in previous years, you know we like to run a tight ship at registration, so please help us by sending your information. Please email both SJSportsHallofFame@gmail.com and carrie@sjsa.org and write, “SJSHOF Guest List” in the subject line.

The annual SJSHOF silent auction is live! You are welcome to get a jump start before Thursday and check out the many great packages available, including game tickets for your favorite teams, swanky golf packages, good wine, and more. Proceeds from the auction go to benefit Special Olympics Northern California.

Also taking place Thursday evening: we will continue our annual tradition of honoring the male & female high school athletes of the year, the male and female amateur athletes of the year and Special Olympics Athlete of the year. All five are so deserving of recognition, and we look forward to honoring them.

We cannot wait to celebrate the achievements of the four outstanding individuals whom will go into the Hall on Thursday!

On a personal note: This Thursday’s event will be my 13th year as the event director of the annual San Jose Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner. I love many aspects of my job and this event, but here are two that go hand-in-hand: first, it is a privilege to take a deep dive into the remarkable histories of our honorees and inductees; it is so inspiring to learn more about their personal journeys, from their earliest years in competitive athletics to the apex of their careers. Secondly, it is equally fulfilling to work with so many terrific and talented people who help bring the honorees and inductees’ stories to life for all of us to enjoy. I’ve been involved with hundreds of events through the years, but there is nothing quite like the SJSHOF.

Simply put, if you love sports, our community, and rubbing shoulders with greatness, you will have a wonderful time on Thursday evening. See you there
