SAN JOSE, CALIF – The San Jose Sports Hall of Fame (SJSHOF) (www.sjsa.org/hof) has announced the second straight
sellout for the annual ceremony. The event will highlight the achievements of South Bay area sports legends at its 2021
Induction Ceremony & Dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at SAP Center in San Jose beginning at 5:00pm.
The 2021 San Jose Sports Hall of Fame inductees include Mark Purdy (legendary Bay Area sports columnist), James Jones
(San Jose State University and Green Bay Packers Alumnus), Summer Sanders (Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming) and
George Seifert (Super Bowl winning coach of the San Francisco 49ers).

“Our inductees and honorees have work so hard to reach this point, last year due to the pandemic we had to cancel the
Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony,” Director of the San Jose Sports Authority, John Poch said. “We are beyond
thrilled for this opportunity to not only honor these incredible local sports legends, but to be able to broadcast the
ceremony to enable all of their friends and families to watch via live stream. Our community showed their love and
support of our sporting community with our second straight sell-out of the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame. We are excited
to host over 600 guests at the SAP Center in San Jose and thousands online to see this special class of inductees and
honorees receive the accolades they so richly deserve. It’s such a special evening with a live event with so much pride
and emotion and we are thrilled to be back at the SAP Center and to stream live for all to welcome the San Jose Sports
Hall of Fame back!”

For the first time in the history of the event, the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame will be now available for all to view via

livestream-registration. The live stream of the HOF will enable the friends and families to virtually attend to watch and
learn how our honorees dream came true and it's an emotional moment. Registration is FREE and is now open! Users
who register will also have access to the SJSHOF Silent Auction to bid on exclusive ticket packages. Proceeds from the
silent auction benefit the Special Olympics and our COVID high school sports relief fund.
