SAN JOSE SPORTS HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2007

Basketball Greats, Brothers

Plaque Location: SAP Center, Section 124

San Jose brothers Bud and Ralph Ogden were star basketball centers at Lincoln High School and Santa Clara University. As individuals, they rewrote the record books; together, they helped the Broncos reach new levels of success. Bud (1966-69) holds the Broncos single-game scoring record (55 points) and is 10th on the all-time scoring list; Ralph (1967-70) was All-WCC and is 14th among all-time scorers. In the two years they played together, Santa Clara posted a 49-6 record, twice reached the NCAA Regional Finals, and was ranked as high as third in the national polls. Both played in the NBA before going on to successful teaching and coaching careers.

The Ogden brothers were inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
