A cornerstone of US women’s soccer during its “Golden Era,” Julie Foudy made 272 appearances with the U.S. National Team from 1987-2004. During that time, she won two World Cups, two Olympic gold medals, and an Olympic silver medal.
At Stanford University, Foudy led her team to four NCAA appearances, was named a four-time All-American and the 1991 Soccer America Player of the Year. Raised in Mission Viejo, Foudy was named the LA Times High School Player of the Decade. She is an inductee in the Stanford Hall of Fame and the U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame.
She joined the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
