Roger Maltbie is a San Jose State University alumni who was named PGA Tour’s Rookie of the Year in 1975. A five-time winner on the PGA Tour, he carded 55 Top 10 finishes in his career.

Maltbie joined NBC Sports’ golf coverage team in 1992. He became the network’s lead course reporter, usually drawing the coveted assignment of walking with tournament leaders.
