A legendary water polo player and coach at SJSU and Stanford, Art Lambert was inducted into the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame in 1985. He coached the 1967 U.S. Pan American Team to win gold, a result that marked the first gold medal ever won by a U.S. water polo team in international competition outside the country.
