Olympic Synchronized Swimming Gold Medalist

A graduate of Valley Christian High School and a member of the Santa Clara Aquamaids, one of the nation’s premiere synchronized swimming programs, Dyroen-Lancer is hailed as one of the world’s best synchronized swimmers.  In 1994, she won more gold medals than any other American at the VII World Aquatic Championships.  She won numerous titles between 1989 and 1996 including nine consecutive grand slams and was the first woman to receive perfect 10 scores in an Olympic qualifying event. She captured her first Olympic gold medal after a stellar performance in the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta.

An icon in the world of synchronized swimming, Dyroen-Lancer was inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
