SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes and U.S. Soccer announced today that Earthquakes Stadium will host the United States Women’s National Team for a friendly against Brazil on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. PT. The match will be televised nationally on FS1.
In addition to new 2020 season-ticket benefits such as free away-game tickets and discounts on merchandise and food trucks, Earthquakes Season Ticket Holders will also receive an exclusive presale for the USWNT vs. Brazil friendly that begins on Friday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. PT. 2020 Earthquakes Season Tickets are available here. Tickets will then be made available to the general public on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Tickets will not be sold at Earthquakes Stadium until the day of the event.

The match on April 14 will be the first for the USWNT in the Bay Area since winning the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, claiming their fourth World Cup in team history. The USA have won all 10 previous matches in San Jose, most recently a 4-0 win vs. Chile in Sept. 2018
The Americans have a decorated international record. The USWNT have won four FIFA World Cups (1991, 1999, 2015, 2019) and four Olympic championships (1996, 2004, 2008, 2012). Dating back to 1991, USA has placed in every World Cup, earning bronze in 1995, 2003 and 2007 and silver in 2011. Until the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, where they reached the quarterfinals, the USA had also won three consecutive gold medals (2004, 2008, 2012).
The USWNT features some of the biggest names in soccer, many of which have Bay Area ties, such as Cal alumna Alex Morgan, Santa Clara University alumna Julie Ertz and Redding, Calif. native Megan Rapinoe. The match will be their 11th all-time in San Jose and fifth at Earthquakes Stadium.
Brazil is currently ranked ninth in the world, according to FIFA, and advanced to the Knockout Round of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup before falling to France in overtime.
