NCAA Champion, Olympian, and World Cup-Medaling Soccer Player

Danielle Slaton played alongside Aly Wagner with the Central Valley Mercury club team, winning three U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships. She also played at Presentation High School, helping lead the Panthers to two CCS titles.

At Santa Clara University, Slaton captained the 2001 NCAA championship team and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player. As a member of the USA Women’s National Team, she won a silver medal at the 2000 Olympics and bronze in the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup. As a pro, Slaton won a championship with the Carolina Courage (WUSA) and was named Defender of the Year. She is a member of Santa Clara University’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Danielle Slaton was inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
